Andrew Peet: New postdoc at ConceptLab/CSMN

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Peet has accepted an offer of a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship at ConceptLab/CSMN, a position shared by the two. Andrew will take up his fellowship in February 2017.

Andrew Peet received his philosophy education the University of St Andrews. His current research is centred around two projects. The first focuses on communication, especially defective communication and the conditions for knowledge-yielding communication. This work lies at the intersection of the philosophy of language and epistemology, although it also touches on issues in social philosophy and the philosophy of mind. The second focuses on the nature of knowledge. In particular he is interested in epistemic luck, knowledge-how, and alternatives to process based views of knowledge (such as reliablism and virtue epistemology).
